The manoir
The best address in Brittany!
Welcoming, beautiful, tranquil & 'friendly' - our clients speak for us!
May 2010 Comments from Maurine & Brian Classic car enthusiasts
'We have had a really lovely time, made to feel so welcome and part of the family. So well situated to potter about the lovely countryside and coastline'.
The manoir was renovated by master builders using 'natural' materials, eg lime morters, hemp, granite and solid oak where possible.
Enjoy the manoir’s warm original features such as the huge chestnut and oak beams, terracotta flooring, monumental fireplaces and more. If you like light and sunny rooms you will love the three reception rooms and farmhouse kitchen as they all enjoy a double aspect to the front and rear gardens and the lake, all set in a total of some seven acres.
Majestic & prominently placed in the village yet private
This majestic manoir is ideal for a large family holiday, a family reunion, a special occassion or celebration, a get together or a golfing holiday. It is in a superb country environment yet in the village you can buy provisions from the corner shop, bread from the boulangerie, visit the local cafes, or get stamps from the post office.
Listed church
A superb church and floral gardens with a 'millenium' Yew tree
This church has a coat of arms, clock tower which together with it's yew tree are all listed
as a 'monument historique' by Batiments de France. Manoir Le Cosquer has a similar
coat of arms boasting the famous 'coquiles st jaques' on its facade!

HISTORY
Oozing with charm from its religious roots the manoir has a long
documented history dating back to the 15th century, and more recently seen in the French film ‘L’Affaire Seznec’. The manoir was also a bastion
for the French resistance and utilised as a 'drop zone' & for storing arms during WW2.
The village
The manoir is in a superb country environment but only a distance of some
300 metres down the private tree lined avenue to the centre of the charming village of Pommerit Le Vicomte.
Walk to the boulangerie & the corner shop for your freshly baked croissants
& baguette, or, pop into the bar/tabac for a postcard or coffee.
* A truly excellent area to discover this superb coastal area.
